Newest addition to the Nelson Family

We have decided to add a member to our family.  Raven Nelson whom was born on December 25, 2005 is now the youngest Nelson.  She so far has only had one accident, dismantled one night stand and can spend money faster than I can..... She has been such a joy and luv to our family these past two days.  We are so excited for all the many more memories with her.

With her being only four she sure does have a lot of energy.  We now do not have any excuses to not exercise in the morning.  It's a MUST.... I am still not sure if that is a good thing???  Ask me in a week.  I took her for a 1.5 hour run this am and she still wanted to keep going.  Hopefully we will be able to keep up with her.  She is beautiful and such a sweet dog to have in our home.  We are truly blessed.

We're Moving on Up!

Yes!!!!! We are so excited to have a "Closing Date".  March 25th (how funny, it's my moms birthday) will be the day that we get the keys to the Nelson's Nest.   We spent the weekend draining our pool, cleaning it and now filling it back up.... Whew!  It literally took all weekend.
There are enough bedrooms for all of you to come visit..... We can't wait.

Our Olympian

We were so blessed to be part of the Olympics this year.  The Deer Valley Stake Youth Olympics that is.  What an amazing two weeks it has been.  We spent two weeks, watching Vincent and the youth in our Stake compete in Volleyball, Chess, Basketball Shoot outs, Raquetball, Road Bike Race, Fine Arts and last but not least cooking and baking.
Vincent decided to participate in several acitivites throughout the two weeks.  Our Ward took 2nd Place in the 3 day Volleyball competion and 2nd Place over all when all.  It was tiring but oh so much fun getting to know the youth of our Ward and watching our Young Athlete..

Vincent entered the Baking Competition and took 2nd Place in the Stake with his Braided Egg Bread.

The 5 Mile Road Bike Race in Anthem.  This was Vincents first time riding my road bike.  Not only did he look good doing it but took 5th place.  He warned all the 16 and 17 year olds that next year they better watch out..... He now wants to ride road bikes with Brian and I on the weekends.  We are going to start working on his Bicycle Merit Badge.  50 Miles here we come.

We were not only so thrilled but we were so proud that we attended the Closing Ceremonies.  After all the awards were given out and Vincent's name being called out several tiimes for all of his competitions in Raquet Ball, Road Biking, Baking and Volleyball and placing in all of them.  We had the honor of having Vincent's name called out for the 1st Place Deer Valley Stake Young Men SuperStar award.  Oh how proud and happy we are as parents of Vincent the SuperStar...
