Weekend with Aunties

Two of sisters drove out to visit us two weekends ago.  It was a quick trip, but it was a memorable one.  We were able to spend time with baby Dean and Aunties were able to spend time with Amanda. Aliyah and Vincent had such a great time.  Brian and I enjoyed cooking and visiting.  It was so nice to have my sisters with me.

Hiking with Kids

Vincent and I luv to hike.  We decided that Amanda is now big enough to join us.  Well, in the carrier that is.. Both her and Vincent had so much fun.  It was such a beautiful day in January.

Annual Christmas Tree Fire

As some of you may know, on Christmas Eve Brian and Vincent burn our tree in the back yard.  This year they decided to switch it up a little..... Yup... The boys decided to play a little with the fire.(of course they didn't tell me until after they had already done this)  They decided to add lighter fluid AND flowers (fire works).  Needless to say, Amanda and I watched from inside the house.

Papa Bob would be so Proud

Our Papa Bob visits Costco every Friday in Florida.  While he there he grabs his Friday, Costco Dog.  Last month we decided while we were there (at our Costco) to grab some $3.00 lunch ourselves.  This time we shared with Amanda....... How Papa Bob would be so proud.

Arroyo's in the Nelson's Nest

We were so excited to have the Arroyo Family come visit the week of Christmas.  The weather was perfect.  The kids had so much fun.  Lisa and I did a little shopping... LAST CHANCE!!! WOOT! WOOT!  (Nordstroms Last Chance)

Amanda Nelson 8 months
Katie Arroyo 11 months

Lisa (Brian's sister) and Brian

We were so lucky that Lisa made
us twice baked potates

Isabel Arroyo 5 years

Katie and Amanda

And of course.... No visit would be complete without a family game of Rumicube.  Vincent had a friend over and I quote "how is the game intense" that quote was at the beginning of the game.  In the middle of the game, "What, oh no Brian you are going down".  That's right........ Our Nelson family game of Rumicube is THAT intense....

THANK YOU SO MUCH TO THE ARROYO FAMILY for making the trip out to visit us.  We enjoyed every minute of it.
WE LUV YOU ARROYO FAMILY

Christmas at Nelson Nest 2011

For some year I somehow do not have very many pictures this year.  I guess I totally dropped the ball.  It was a most fabulous day.  We were so blessed to have a knock or a pound on the door Christmas Eve around 10:30.  Secret Santa had delivered Christmas to our house.  Words can not express our luv and gratitude for the gifts and luv we received.

Christmas Lights

Every year we go to Mesa and walk around the Mesa Temple to view all of the Christmas lights.... It is so beautiful.

We started the evening with a Fondue
Dinner

Vincent took his little (2 oz) stove
and made us all hot chocolate.
(it was FREEZING)
