I Belong To The Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter Day Saints

Easter Sunday now has an even more special meaning to us as a family.  Two years ago Vincent received the Aaronic Priesthood and was ordained on Easter Sunday.  This year our family was eternally blessed to have the baptism of my Husband, Vincent's Step Dad Brian!  I am sad to say that I do not have any pictures of the actual event.  Not only was this our first Easter together as a family but it was also our first Conference weekend as a family.  We were blessed to have my dad, Jacob our nephew and our most wonderful, Ward family friends the Gunsons.  What a weekend it was to watch conference on the Big screen, have little pitter patter of feet, several kids swimming in the pool, more than three people for family prayer and an overwhelming sense of the spirit in our home.
The weather was beautiful in Phoenix that afternoon.  Mike Gunson, our Home Teacher from Santa Barbara not only baptized Brian but also performed all of the ordinances of the Confirmation and Priesthood.

We were blessed to have people fill in and lead the music (I forgot that part) and bring towels.  A beautiful music number performed and accompanied by our very dear friends, prayers and attendance by so many people of The Deer Valley 1st Ward and the Stake.  We had a dinner at our house following the baptism and our cup runneth over by all of the luv and support that our dear friends and family showed us that weekend.  We would have never been able to do it with out all of your help, luv and support.  Thank you to all of you..... It's a monumental moment in our lives forever.

Moved and Santa Barbara all in 24 hours!

Well now that we finally have Internet service I don't even know where to begin....

Let's start with March 27th.  We moved into our wonderful 5 bedroom 2.5 bath home and we luv every foot of it.  After moving into our home on Saturday the 27th Vincent and I headed to Santa Barbara for my Best Friends wedding.  We were in for a treat as we made it there that night while Jacobs birthday party was just winding down.  HAPPY BIRTHDAY JACOB!  Oh how I miss the smell and sounds of Santa Barbara.
Sunday the 28th we were so lucky to have breakfast with our family and then attend church at our Home Ward.  Mesa Vista Ward in Santa Barbara....... Later that day we had the wonderful opportunity to watch my best friend Kara and her luv Mike exchange their wedding vows.

It was such a beautiful ceremony.  We danced the night away and ended the night with full bellies (fab cake) and sore feet.  Many many Best Wishes to Mr. & Mrs. Mike Pizano!  We LUV you!  3-28-10

No rest was to be had in that short time we were in Santa Barbara!  I dropped Vincent off to the Orthodontist bright in early in the morning for the visit of a metal free mouth.  While we were waiting to find out the hopefully good news.  Jacob and I ran to the Santa Barbara Court house to finally get the paperwork for me to change my name..... I'm telling you we didn't waste any time what so ever.  Finally after refiling the paperwork and paying yet once again for that same paperwork that we had paid for two months earlier.... We received the Golden Paperwork to change my name from Diaz to Nelson... I was so happy.

I was so relieved and happy to finally have our Marriage Certificate in hand I had Jacob hold it and did not miss the chance to take a pic and send it to Brian who was still in AZ at work.

Mean while back at the Orthodontist office.........

That is our lil man smiling the big smile with out any metal in his mouth.  He was so excited and happy.  Auntie Trina and the Doctor did a wonderful job in that 45 minutes Jacob and I were at the Court house.  Whew.... Vincent didn't waste a moment reminding me of the stop we had to make on the way back to Phoenix for some Salt Water Taffy......
We left Santa Barbara by 12pm.  So after arriving in Santa Barbara at 10pm on Saturday night and leaving by noon on Monday...... We were pretty tired that week.  We are so sorry that we did not get to see all of you.  We honestly only got to see the people who attended the wedding, and worked in the doctors office.  It was a crazy busy short time in Santa Barbara.
