Saturday Night Life

For about the last month or so Saturday nights have been busy here at the Nelson Nest.  Vincent has decided that he does not want to go to the dances on Saturday nights anymore.  Instead, he has invited all of the youth to come hang out here.
I have to admit, it is quite entertaining having at least 8 14-16 year olds hanging out on Saturday nights.  It's not always just food and movie night.  Some nights are extra funny.  Try listening to a bunch of teenagers play the game What If...... Now that is pure entertainment.  What makes it even better????  It's FREE.....
This past weekend Brian and I decided to mix it up a little.  We planned a Scavenger Hunt for all of the kids that showed up.  It was so darn funny!!!

As you can see.... There were rules implemented (even though some teams forgot to follow them) AND the list was definitely fabulous.  Especially since at least 3 items on there are not even real.... :)  We gave them 1 hr and 45 min.  The description the kids came back with in regards to those items were priceless.
I had already warned some of the Ward members and our Neighbors that they might be having some visitors with some crazy requests.
We split the kids up into 3 groups.  And off they went...... Some were back earlier than others, some followed the rules and some did not, some even had to rap to get their items. BUT.... They all had fun.

Team #1
Vincent, Kennedy, Megan & Sierra
Team #2
 Shania, Chris, Alexis & Chelsea
Team #3

The kids were all troopers and from what I hear, they all had a great time.  Can't wait until the next one.....

Thank you to everyone who participated and made this such a fun event for the kids. I am sure there will be another one soon....

I apologize if any of the names are spelled wrong... :(
